FOOD + NUTRITION
Everything you consume is energy. If you eat a lot of “dead” energy (in the form of meat, fried, or processed food), it lowers your vibration. By eating nutrient-dense foods, like local and organic fruits and vegetables, it raises your vibration.
While it can temporarily feel good, alcohol is a depressant and lowers a person’s vibration. If you want to be clear, spiritually connected, and have a healthy outlook on life, eliminating toxins from your body would be a good place to start.
Tune into your body daily and ask it what it needs. This means learning how to get into the sensing part of our body, to pay attention to what we’re eating, why we’re eating and how we’re eating.
The most important thing in shifting to a higher vibration diet is to be gentle with yourself. Self-love and gratitude will dissolve any shame or self-sabotage to empower you to take baby steps in a new direction.
Simple solutions to help you shift your diet
As you look at this list, just choose one or two items to incorporate over the next few weeks. Then add something else next month. Take baby steps!
Go organic, wild, and local: Do the best you can to incorporate non-GMO and organic foods in your diet. Shop at local farmer’s markets, join a crop sharing group, shop at local co-ops, buy organic non-GMO foods, or grow your own food.
Filtered Water: Tap water and many corporate water bottling companies have toxic chemicals such as fluoride, heavy metals, chlorine, BPA and other toxins. Berkey makes a great water filtration system. Spring water is also a great substitute.
Mineralize: Often times when you're hungry or tired, it is your body seeking minerals. Many foods today lack essential fulvic acids that our bodies need. Sea salt, sea vegetables such as nori, kelp, and dulse, fulvic acid supplement, organic lemon water, organic non-gmo miso and other cultured foods such as kimchi and sauerkraut are great sources for minerals.
Sugar: Many of us know by now that refined sugar is really bad for us. Good (low- glycemic) sugars include: raw honey, lucuma powder, raw coconut sugar, stevia, agave, real maple syrup, jaggery, dates and goji berries.
Good Gut: In your gut there is good bacteria that helps breakdown foods and absorb nutrients, and “bad” bacteria and parasites that cause inflammation. Having strong gut flora is very important to overall health. By taking probiotics and eating fermented foods such as kimchi, sauerkraut, coconut and yogurt kefirs you can build a strong microbiome for your gut.
Go Green: Most people’s bodies are acidic from stress and toxic diets. When the body’s PH is not in balance, sickness, weight gain, depression and low energy can occur. By incorporating more high PH foods, such as green vegetables and fruits, the body can come back to equilibrium.
Soaking: Soaking raw nuts, seeds, legumes and ancient grains break down enzyme inhibitors for easier digestion and nutrient absorption. The ideal soak time for all of these is about 5-8 hours or overnight.
Protein: In order to help the planet and your health, you may want to consider cutting down on animal protein and switching to plant-based sources. Protein can be found in fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts and seeds. Broccoli is 50% protein! Other forms of plant-based protein are bee pollen, pea protein, protein powder, spirulina, flax seeds, hemp seeds, chia seeds, mung beans, nuts and seeds just to name a few.
Good Fats: Incorporate good fats into your diet, such as cold-pressed organic oils like olive oil, coconut oil, sesame oil, hemp oil and avocados.
Grains: Around the 1960’s, generations of chemically modified wheat cultivators shifted glutenin and gliadin from healthy protein to toxins, which created wheat allergies and sensitivities. Ancient grains are more easily digestible and don’t cause body inflammation. You may want to consider some of these options: quinoa, buckwheat, hemp based products, coconut flour, almond flour, and wild rices.
Incorporate Raw: Food in its natural state has a higher vibration. Living enzymes and nutritional content is higher when it is left raw. When you cook many foods, they become toxic and create antibodies. However, it is ideal to eat more raw foods foods in the warmer months, and slightly cooked foods in the fall and winter season.
Coffee & Stimulants: These substances give you a false sense of energy and actually fatigue the adrenals which depletes the kidneys. If you can’t give up your coffee, at least lower your intake. Coffee is acidic which lowers the body’s energy levels, but by incorporating a higher alkaline diet and gentle cleansing your system, you can naturally feel more energized. Try Dandy Blend for a great coffee alternative.
How you eat is even more important than what you eat
No matter what you choose to do about your food, you can follow these guidelines to make digestion easier for your body.
Eat undistracted in a calm environment. When we have stress in the body, the stress hormone cortisol shuts down the digestive process.
Take at least three deep breaths before eating and send positive energy into your food.
Chew your food until it has an even consistency. Stop when you are about 75% full to allow enough air in your belly to stoke the digestive fire.
Drink small amounts of liquid with your meals. Liquid dilutes the digestive juices of your stomach, making your body work harder to digest your food and can deplete your energy.
When you're finished eating, take at least a few deep breaths at the end of your meal to relax.
Eat at regular times each day to train your body to prepare for digestion
Warm, cooked foods are easier to digest than cold, dry foods
SUPPLEMENTS
These natural supplements are packed with minerals and nutrients that can support your body:
Chlorella, spirulina, micro algae, wheatgrass, ashwagandha, gotu kola, milk thistle, colloidal silver, activated charcoal, vitamin B complex, vitamin D, food-sourced vitamin C, seawater tonic, plant-based protein
CLEANSING THE BODY
Currently, everyone on the planet has a countless number of toxins in their body including parasites, pesticides, heavy metals (from chemtrails & aluminum products), radiation, Xeno/phytoestrogens (from plastics), GMOs, parabens, fluoride, putrefying undigested foods, and calcium phosphate… just to name a few.
Many of these things even have the ability to dictate your thoughts. Parasites are one of the few things on Earth that kill their own environment and we have them crawling in us.
The most important thing you can do to transition to a higher vibrational diet is to detox and cleanse the system so that you can better hear what your body really needs.
There are many ways to do this
Chinese herbs, homeopathy, psyllium husk, activated charcoal, eating cilantro or organic herbs such as dandelion, burdock, milk thistle, cellular detoxes, benzonite clay, triphala, micro algae, chlorella, spirulina, detox probiotic, to name a few.
Avoid endocrine disruptors, such as parabens (preservatives) and phthalates (plasticizers), in your cleaning and beauty products.
Stay away from plastic products made with BPA.
The most effective detox is sweating. Spend some time in a sauna, or run and exercise.
You may also get genetic testing to see if you have the MTHFR gene mutation (20 percent or more of the population has this), which means a possible inability to detox chemicals properly. This can help you determine the type and length of detox needed.
Keep in mind that when the body is detoxing, the imbalance of pathogenic bacteria is likely the source of any inflammation in your body and could be causing skin issues, fatigue and mood imbalances. As the bad bacteria dies off, it could get worse before it gets better. Therefore, after about a week or so, you may see these symptoms get worse.
An overgrowth of bad bacteria will fiercely crave dairy, wheat and sweets so try not to have those items in the house. Don't give in and give up on your healing!
Check with your health professional before beginning any detoxification program.
